Flamingo

Now she’s flying to Africa.

I was watching her from afar –

the deeper she waded into the lake

the more she looked like them.

Fortino Samano was born in a surreal enchanting island during stormy times. He remains in awe with this barren land, which was once imagined to be Fata Morgana’s Kingdom. He published his first chapbook of haiku in Cypriot- Greek titled Scrambler in 2017.
